Chakma Music

Hi folks,
Here I come to blog again. Today I am here to give you a little about Chakma Music again. As you now, Chakma music is not that much advanced as it ought to be owing to many factors. One of the prime factors is the lack of support for the artist- young or old. With the advent of digital media these days, the most artists end up with bankruptcy ( due to excessive increase of piracy).
How many of us think of the art that the artists have been endowed with and how many of us are willing to pay the deserved value of buying an original CDs. Most of the people prefer to buy a copied CD from open market. These days, there is no dearth of vendor selling cds in market at the price of Rs.10/- and who would be so sensible to buy an original disc from the artists and frankly speaking owing to the limitations of marketing facility of Chakma music, we don’t care about how we procure the music whether it is legal or illegal.

But music is universal language. It knows no caste or creed. If one learns that there is an album from Megadeth or Iron Maiden and the likes, people like me would like to buy a copy from the online stores because we are great fan of those bands, similarly those who like Chakma music where could they go to?? Can a Chakma from abroad would like to come to Tripura or visit Mizoram or Bangladesh just only to purchase a copy of the disc? There must be a co-operation between Chakma music sellers among the states of India and with those of Bangladesh at least. This I bet would give an extra advantage to the artist who bring out albums- for this would definite excel their selling and I guess the tendency for doing piracy could be brought down marginally.

Today, I am going to put some light on Paracetamol. Paracetamol is a local band of Tripura. You must be aware of the band but hardly many of us heard their songs. So my upload today is dedicated to all the brother and sisters who are reprieved of the Chakma Hard Rock band’s music. But my request to all the people is that you must try to contact the band if you are willing to make contribution towards their mighty job.

Bizu 2011

Bizumela
Bizu is one of the most treasured cultural festivals of  the Chakma population living mainly in Bangladesh and India. Being a traditional festival of the Chakmas, the whole festival reflects on the Chakma tribal cultural heritage. It is a colourful festival bringing happiness to each and every Chakma folks including all the surrounding people whether one may be a tribal or non-tribal.
Tradiionally Bizu comprises of three days- Phool Bizu, Mul Bizu and Guchyapujchya Bizu. On phool bizu, children of  the villages hunt for flowers right from early dawn and make beautiful bouquet to offer to the water god Gangama in order to pray  for good health and prosperity. The whole day is spent in anticipation of the following day which literally meant free for all in terms of eating and drinking.
From early morning the young children go out door to door to take the blessing of the elders while carrying with them pots of water to wash off the feet of the elders. From early morning starts all the fun. People go to their relatives houses to taste the fovourite Pajon Tohn (curry prepared for distribution among the expected guests). On the occasion, fun knows no limit. Boozing and roaming is one of the remarkable parts of this festival through out the day.

Most people love to gather at an appointed place for enjoyment like involving oneself into sports activity and cultural evening. These days fairs are held all around. Tripura, one of the north eastern states of India is also a state where Chakma Tribal population is worthy of mentioning. A fair name Bizu Mela is held in every year. This time state BIZU MELA is held for the 30th time at Pecharthal where maximum number of Tripura Chakma population dwell.
As expected, the fun over here ended only yesterday with lots of fun and enjoyments. A lots of enjoyment overflowed here. My younger brother Maha has brought a glimpse of the Mela. I am sure, every one  present there must have enjoyed to their fullest.
Bizu 2011 has brought the Chakma people lots of gifts especially from the end of the artistes- singers mostly. New albums are brought out and videos are created. Bands like PCM has been born earlier and brought people the Chakma rock music though lacking maturity yet.
In this blog, I am going to present people with Chakma music downloads. But please remember, my only aim is to bring at home the scintillating Chakma music you ever wanted. However, I would encourage you to buy the original music brought out by the producers so that you help the artistes encouraged and soaring high. Music quality through my downloads links is marginal and only for information and education purpose.
